Be sure to go over the Red Square where the amazing St. Basil's Cathedral is located. The famous  colorful rounded top church that looks almost like candy.
By the way, the name “Red Square” is very old and contrary to popular belief was not communist innovation. This word has a different origin. In the Old Russian language it means: beautiful.

Watch guard change in Kremlin! It is more performance for the tourists and looks like well-organized show. The guard change  happens every hour on the half  hour. Don’t forget your camera to take great  photos!
  Moscow Subway
Get on subway (so called metro here) and you will be able to admire the spacious and beautifully decorated subway stations. ... The stain-glass Novoslobodkaya   or  Mayakovskaya station with its mosaics…  It is just an art!

Busy and cheerful Old Arbat Street! You will be walking in the street where every house belongs to the historic heritage. You will appreciate the joyful atmosphere and get to know more about average people and learn more about Russia
But mind that most Russians do not speak a foreign language… Sometimes, you have to find someone who may act as an interpreter. It is better  to learn Russian online before your trip or at least  memorize some general Russian phrases like Dobroye utro,  spasiba, etc…

 Church
To immerse into a special spiritual atmosphere, visit the Orthodox Church on Sunday. Anyone who witnesses an Orthodox liturgy for the first time will be impressed
by its frank appeal to the senses. Visiting an Eastern Orthodox Church can be a positive and educational experience. Mind that people must stand up during the liturgy and ladies should wear a headscarf.
 Ballet

A ballet performance is a mandatory experience wherever you are in Russia. Attending a Moscow ballet performance is still a stylish event. People dress up, and in the pauses, you consume drinks and snacks, some of them of outstanding taste and quality.
You can buy tickets just at the box office.

Just imagine how cool it is to slowly drift across the beautiful Moscow river banks. The air is fresh, no exhaust pipes around - it's just you and the city! You may enjoy Moscow from a totally different prospective!

 GUM
Plan your shopping trip to GUM  for almost any day of the week. This is actually a huge commercial mall where you can buy Levis, Estee Lauder and Christian Dior… any brand you like.
 Banya
Banyas  are special part of Russian culture. The Banya (bath), similar in some ways to the Finnish sauna, but so much more, and also known as a public bath, is an institution in Russia.  They are used not only for cleaning, but also for socializing.  To have a true banya experience is to look deeply into the Russian soul.

 Russian Food
If  you want to try just Russian dish…Well, red caviar is a good bet. I recommend it on warm blinis, covered with a generous layer of butter, and red caviar on top. Enjoy!
